روسای جدید پیام نور مازندران ، پیام نور کرمان و پیام نور سمنان اعلام شدند
به گزارش اخبار پیام نور ، رئیس دانشگاه پیام نور صادق علی موحد منش ، مشاور علمی استاندار مازندران را به ریاست دانشگاه پیام نور مازندران منصوب کرد.گفته می شود حکم انتصاب موحد منش از سوی حسن زیاری به سمت ریاست دانشگاه پیام نور مازندران صادر شده است.موحد منش دارای مدرک دکتری علوم اقتصاد بوده و عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه پیام نور استان مازندران است. پیش از این  زیاری در احکامی جداگانه حمید تابلی را به عنوان سرپرست پیام نور کرمان و  قدرت الله خیاطیان را به سرپرستی پیام نور سمنان منصوب کرده بود.

حذف و اضافه ترم اول دانشگاه پیام نور در نیمه دوم مهر ماه آغاز می شود.
به گزارش اخبار پیام نور براساس تقویم آموزشی اعلام شده توسط دانشگاه پیام نور، زمان حذف و اضافه نیمسال اول سال تحصیلی ۹۰-۸۹ دانشگاه پیام نور از ۱۷ مهر ۸۹ شروع می شود و تا ۲۲ مهر ۸۹ ادامه خواهد داشت.

سرانه دانشجویی دانشگاه پیام نور افزایش خواهد یافت
به گزارش اخبار پیام نور ، در کمیسیون آموزش عالی با افزایش سرانه دانشجویی دانشگاه پیام نور موافقت شده است . بر اساس این گزارش سرانهدانشجویی دانشگاه پیام نور در حال حاضر حدود ۸۰ هزار تومان است و این سرانه به ازاری هر دانشجو در دانشگاههای سراسری حدوددو میلیون تومان می باشد.دانشگاه پیام نور تلاش می کند سرانه دانشجوییدر این دانشگاه حداقل یک چهارم سرانه دانشگاه سراسری باشد. تحقق افزایش سرانه زمانی اتفاق می افتد که در صحن علنی مجلس نیز تصویب شود.

رئیس دانشگاه پیام نور اعلام کرد: رییس مرکز یا واحد باید عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه پیام نور باشند.
گزارش اختصاصی اخبار پیام نور ، حسن زیاری با بیان اینکه سه هزار و 300 عضو هيئت علمی در مرتبه‌های مختلف در دانشگاه پيام‌نور فعاليت می‌كنند افزود : در حال حاضر 85 درصد از اعضای هيئت علمی دانشگاه پيام‌ نور فوق ليسانس هستند. وی هدف دانشگاه پیام نور را سرمایه گذاری بر روی هیئت علمی دانست . زیاری در سخنان خود گفت : رئیس مرکز یا واحد باید عضو هیئت علمی دانشگاه پیام نور باشد و این را از سیاست های پیام نور عنوان کرد . حسن زیاری رییس دانشگاه پیام نور همچنین اشاره کرد تلاش می شود تمام اعضای هیئت علمی خانه دار شوند.

 به گزارش اخبار پیام نور ، فرشاد ابراهیم پور رئيس دانشگاه پيام‌ نور استان تهران با بیان این که از 37 هزار دانشجوی پذيرفته شده در دانشگاه پيام‌نور 24 هزار نفر به صورت اينترنتی ثبت‌نام كردند، گفت : از اين تعداد مدارك 20 هزار نفر مشكلی ندارد و انتخاب واحد كرده‌اند و مدارك 4 هزار نفر نقص دارد كه بايد آن را تكميل كنند. ابراهیم پور گفت : دانشجويان جديدالورود دانشگاه پيام ‌نور كه موفق به انتخاب واحد در نيم‌سال اول سال تحصيلی 90 ـ 89 نشده‌اند ، تا زمان حذف و اضافه براي ثبت‌نام و انتخاب واحد مهلت دارند.

Scientists at the University of California, San Diego’s Center for Theoretical Biological Physics have been using theoretical mathematics, chemistry, and physics to model the genomic and proteomic interactions among colonies of Bacillus subtilis under conditions of environmental stress.

Under stress, a bacterium faces two options. It can undergo sporulation, a process that involves more than 500 genes, in which the bacterium places a copy of its genome in a durable capsule known as a spore. These spores, which are extremely durable even during harsh conditions, can then germinate into new bacteria. The mother cell that sacrifices its genome to form the spore then bursts open releasing its intracellular contents to the environment.

The other option for the bacterium is to enter the “competence intermediate state” in which it makes its membrane more permeable to its extracellular environment so that it can assimilate the cellular contents released by other bacteria that have sporulated. Though this option may allow for survival, the bacterium risks death.

UCSD physics professor José Onuchic explains how these two options present a Prisoner Dilemma-like predicament: “It pays for the individual cell to take the risk and escape into competence only if it notices that the majority of the cells decide to sporulate. […] But if this is the case, it should not take this chance because most of the other cells might reach the same conclusion and escape from sporulation.”

The conclusion of the “game” is that only ten percent of the bacteria enter the “competence intermediate state.” The scientists have found that the decision a bacterium makes is dependent upon the chemical signals being released by its neighboring bacteria. Moreover, though the researchers keep refining their studies, they conclude that stochastic processes still pervade the decisions the bacteria make. Onuchic explains: “Another interesting fact is that the same cells in the same environment, in this case, bacteria in the colony, can actually in a statistical matter choose two different outcomes: sporulation or competence.”

The researchers hope their studies will have applications in sociology, economics, and even cancer biology.
